Scientists have produced a new machine that converts Wi-Fi signals into electricity to power devices without a battery.
The finished product is a small two-dimensional device that is powered when Wi-Fi waves are passed through it.
Antennas referred to as rectenna captures the Wi-Fi waves and converts them to wireless network using the semi conductor.
The Inventors of the device, from MIT, said the machine could power large geographical zones, and also medical devices to beam data to doctors.
