The Shin Bet, Israeli security agency revealed that the authorities had arrested Segev for secretly giving information to the Iranian intellect about Israel.
The justice ministry stated that Gonen pleaded guilty to serious espionage allegations for spying for an enemy State.
In the process of plea bargain,which was presented to the Jerusalem District Court, Segev was sentenced to 11 years in imprisonment.
