Man built robots from scrap metal:
Hoosain Dixon built robots from scrap metal he got from a nearby dump site.He uses materials such as shoe straps, car door parts and a lipstick container. Dixon built the robot within 2 months.
Dixon recalls been good with his hands when he was a child. Dixon, the father of three worked in the hospitality industry for 25 years and later lost his job, so he went into building robots.
Hoosain Dixon created a life-size robot of his own. He is based in Bridgetown on the cape flats in South Africa.
However, he built the robot referred to as Robot 5(R5), with his bare hands using scrap he got from a dump site.
There are great evidence that robot will become part of our daily lives in the future as Asian inventors are already leading the way with their innovative robotic productions.
