Lagos Lamented Over 119 Fire Outbreaks in January:

The Lagos State Fire Service on Thursday lamented over the regular fire outbreaks in the State and said the major cause of fire incidents is as a result of high level of unconsciousness in handling of fire and other flammable materials.

The Fire Service reported that over 119 fire incidents took place across the State from the beginning of January 2019 till date.

Rasaki Musibau, the Acting Director, Lagos State Fire Service, who gave this report in his office at Alausa, Ikeja, lamented that properties that worth millions and lives have been lost due to the recurrent fire outbreaks.

Rasaki explained how most of the fire incidents happened. He then appeal to Lagos State citizens to always call the emergency numbers 112/767 whenever there is fire outbreak.
