The United States has scrapped 10 oil and gas rigs last week, according to a report given by Baker Hughes, a GE Company.
At present, the overall rig count is 1,016, due to scrap of nine oil rigs and one gas rig.
The Permian Basin located in West Texas and New Mexico scrapped five rigs last week, bringing the total number of active rigs in the Permian to 459. This is about half of all the active rigs in US.
The Akoma, Woodford, Haynesville and Cana Woodford also scrapped out one rig last week.
The states that encounter rig decline last week are Texas (-4), Louisiana (-3), Oklahoma (-2), New Mexico (-2), Alaska (-1) and West Virginia (-1).
Other states such as Utica, North Dakota, Williston, Pennsylvania and Ohio added one rig apiece.
