Billionaire Offers N355 Thousand Monthly Allowance And A House To An Elderly Woman Who Sent Relief Material To Victims Of Cyclone Idai

An elderly woman in Zimbabwe has walked over 12Km to deliver relief material to victims of the cyclone Idai. This has brought her recognition as she was offer a life time reward.

Strive Masiyiwa, a Zimbabwean business tycoon has pledged to build her a house at any location she chooses. He also promised to give her N355,515 monthly allowance throughout her life time in order to appreciate her for her good deeds.

Strive Masiyiwa who took note of the inestimable act of generosity displayed by the woman whose photo he had used on his earlier facebook post announced that she would build a house for her at any location she chooses.

Masiyiwa who possessed huge investments in telecommunications industry also promised to pay the woman monthly allowance throughout her life time based on her donations to the victims of the cyclone Idai which affected many African countries leading to over 700 deaths.

Masiyiwa's pledged to the elderly woman's good deeds was due to a comment made by a facebook user Dzokerayi Mu.

Mu in his statement reminded the billionaire that he had used the woman's photo to display how people had come out in large number to aid the cyclone victims but had not recognize her rare sacrifice.

The elderly woman had carry the little relief material she had on a sack stacked on her head and walked 12.2Km from Mbare to Highlands, Harere to deliver the aid because she was unable to afford N177 transport fare.

Masiyiwa later responded to Mu comment, saying, he would return good for good, appreciating the woman for her generosity at such a difficult time.

"She gave more than us all. What she did is is one of the most remarkable acts of kindness I have ever seen. When this is over, I'm going to find her, and invite her to come and see me, if possible. I will spend time in prayer with her. Then I will build her a house any where she wants in Zimbabwe", said Masiyiwa.

In addition, the billionaire said, "I will give her a monthly allowance of US dollars 1000 (N355,515) for life. It is not about how much you have. How many young men and even women in their cars watched her carry that sack, and never asked for help?"
