This was made known by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Bala Elkana. According to him, the suspect has been arrested over allegations regarding the defilement of boys below 18 years and infecting them with HIV/AIDS.
Elkana had said that a case of defilement of a boy below 18 was reported at Ejigbo Police Station on 22 January 2019. This led to the arrest of one Prince Chinecherem who had been sued to court.
He explained that additional investigation confirmed that Reverend Chizemdere was among those defiling young male adults in the community.
“He has been at large for about 90 days,” the command’s spokesman stated. “On March 21, 2019, at about 0100hour, the police located the reverend's residence based on the information obtained that he often sneaks into his house via the back entrance.” In addition, he said that having discovered the police had entrance into his house, the reverend hid in the roof for almost 2 hours before he was later arrested.
Chizemdere was confirmed to have brought in about 15 boys into his residence where he vigorously penetrated them all.
“Some people in the vicinity where the reverend lives revealed that the reverend usually washes six bedsheets everyday each time he brings in the little boys, suspected to be his sex partners," Elkana said. In addition, he said, “On further investigation, the ‘reverend’ disclosed that he is HIV positive and has been on medication for more than three years."
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, a 16-year-old boy was infected by the reverend with HIV in October 2018, explaining that he was aware that the man was HIV positive and was intentionally infecting innocent young adults.
Again, Chizemdere revealed that each time he had a sensual knowledge of the boys, he paid them N2,000 each.
Elkana said the police would charge the suspect to court after thorough investigation.
